We are a family business located in the beautiful Piney Woods of East Texas.

It all started with Rick Meritt’s 3-M Steel Construction in 1981, building steel fences and buildings. Named 3-M (three Meritts) to include his wife and son, who eventually run the office and production.

As he built all over Texas, Rick developed products that better suited his first love – Hunting. Hence, Outback Wildlife Feeders was created and began with a single deer feeder. The product line has expanded to include over three dozen hunting, fishing and ranch equipment items.

Rick developed The Kickin’ Back line as he found the need for outdoor patio and hunt camp furnishings lacking. Kickin’ Back products are built to withstand extreme weather and provide decades of beauty, comfort and durability for your outdoor retreat.

All Kickin’ Back and Outback products are designed and built at the original location in Gilmer, Texas and made only with high quality American steel. The company slogan “Built Right the First Time, to Last a Lifetime” is backed up by the guarantee.
